THE BOYZ's Ju Haknyeon Halts All Activities Due To Disc Stenosis; To Sit Out Upcoming Comeback And Concerts

THE BOYZ’s Ju Haknyeon has temporarily halted all activities after being diagnosed with stenosis.

On November 16, IST Entertainment officially announced that Ju Haknyeon would be going on a temporary hiatus. According to the agency, Ju Haknyeon had already been suffering from back pain for some time, but because the pain “recently worsened,” he visited the hospital earlier that day and was diagnosed with disc stenosis in his lower back.

As a result, Ju Haknyeon will be taking a temporary break from all activities, including THE BOYZ’s upcoming comeback on November 20 and their encore concerts scheduled for December.

We are making an announcement regarding THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon’s health and future activities.

Ju Haknyeon had been suffering from back pain for a while now, so he had been periodically receiving examination and treatment. However, because the pain recently worsened, he visited a hospital this afternoon (November 16) and underwent an additional thorough examination and treatment. The doctor advised him that due to symptoms of disc stenosis in his lower back, he needs to avoid large movements and keep an eye on his condition through medical treatment and physical rehabilitation.

Accordingly, as we have decided that our artist’s health is our top priority, we are letting you know that after careful discussion with the artist himself, it has been decided that [Ju Haknyeon] will temporarily halt all activities and focus on his treatment and recovery. Therefore, he will not be participating in promotions for “THE BOYZ 2ND ALBUM [PHANTASY] Pt.2 Sixth Sense,” which is scheduled to be released on November 20, or THE BOYZ’s “2ND WORLD TOUR : ZENERATION – ENCORE” concert.

We will make an announcement at a later date regarding the progress of [Ju Haknyeon’s] recovery and his rejoining [the group’s] scheduled activities.
As this decision was made with our artist’s health as our top priority, we ask fans for their generous understanding.
