Lee Jong Suk Joins Go Min Si In Talks For New Romance Drama By "Descendants Of The Sun" Director
Lee Jong Suk may be starring alongside Go Min Si in a new romance drama!
On November 21, Lee Jong Suk’s side shared that the actor has received an offer to play the male lead role in the new drama “My Relationship That I Also Oppose” (literal title) and is positively reviewing the offer.
“My Relationship That I Also Oppose” is a highly anticipated romance drama directed by Lee Eung Bok, known for hit series such as “Descendants of the Sun,” “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” (also known as “Goblin”), “Mr. Sunshine,” “Sweet Home,” and “Jirisan.” The script is penned by Kim Eun of “Something in the Rain.”
The drama deals with the subject of whether a reunion with an ex is a continuation of a familiar relationship or the start of an unknown relationship. With its focus on the theme of rekindling first loves, the drama is poised to strike a chord with viewers.
Earlier in September, Go Min Si’s and Choi Hyun Wook‘s respective agencies confirmed the two were in talks for the drama. However, by October, Choi Hyun Wook’s agency shared that he regrettably had to turn down the offer due to scheduling conflicts.
Lee Jong Suk is currently in talks to take on the role of the male lead Kim Tae Kyung, an instinctive, grounded, and righteous character. Meanwhile, Go Min Si is in talks for the role of the female lead Hong Je Bi. Notably, Go Min Si has previously worked with director Lee Eung Bok in the “Sweet Home” series and “Jirisan.”
