BTS’s Jungkook continues to make history on the Billboard charts!
On November 28 local time, Billboard revealed that Jungkook’s first solo album “GOLDEN” was now spending its third consecutive week on its Top 200 Albums chart, where it debuted at No. 2 earlier this month. For the week ending on December 2, “GOLDEN” stayed strong at No. 16.
With this achievement, Jungkook has become the first K-pop soloist ever to chart an album for three weeks in the top 20 of the Billboard 200.
Additionally, Jungkook is now the first K-pop soloist to spend 15 weeks on Billboard’s Artist 100, where he ranked No. 12 this week.
Jungkook’s title track “Standing Next to You” also topped Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart for the third consecutive week, meaning it was the best-selling song in the United States for the third week in a row.
Meanwhile, “GOLDEN” swept the No. 5 spot on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart, meaning it was the fifth best-selling album of the week in the United States.
“Standing Next to You” also remained on the Hot 100 for a third consecutive week at No. 73, while Jungkook’s Kid LAROI and Central Cee collab “Too Much” ranked No. 93 in its fifth consecutive week on the chart.
Both “Too Much” and Jungkook’s hit pre-release single “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow) rose to new peaks on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States. “Too Much” jumped to No. 17 in its fifth week, while “3D” climbed to No. 22 in its eighth week.
Finally, several of Jungkook’s songs from “GOLDEN” continued to perform well on Billboard’s global charts. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Seven” (featuring Latto) climbed back up to No. 2, followed by “Standing Next to You” at No. 3, “3D” at No. 16, “Yes or No” at No. 68, “Hate You” at No. 152, and “Please Don’t Change” (featuring DJ Snake) at No. 185.
On the Global 200, “Standing Next to You” came in at No. 5, “Seven” at No. 7, “3D” at No. 27, and “Yes or No” at No. 120.
