Widow Honey Lee Has A Heartwarming Relationship With Her Father-In-Law In "Knight Flower"
MBC’s upcoming drama “Knight Flower” (also known as “Flower That Blooms at Night”) has unveiled a glimpse of the dynamic between Honey Lee and her on-screen father-in-law!
Set in the Joseon era, “Knight Flower” is an action-comedy drama starring Honey Lee as Jo Yeo Hwa, a woman who has lived a quiet and modest life as a virtuous widow by day for 15 years. However, she is secretly leading a double life: at night, she valiantly sneaks out to help those in need. Lee Jong Won will star in the drama as Park Soo Ho, a military officer who inadvertently becomes entangled with Jo Yeo Hwa.
Kim Sang Joong will play the role of Suk Ji Sung, Jo Yeo Hwa’s father-in-law. At the young age of 17, Jo Yeo Hwa moved into Suk Ji Sung’s house after marrying his son. However, when her groom unexpectedly passed away on their wedding day, Jo Yeo Hwa suddenly became a young widow before they could even consummate their marriage.
Suk Ji Sung, who felt sorry for his young daughter-in-law, treated her warmly and kindly after his son’s passing. In the years since, the two have forged a close bond—and it remains to be seen what kind of role Suk Ji Sung will play in Jo Yeo Hwa’s action-packed story.
“Knight Flower” will premiere on January 12, 2024 at 9:50 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser for the drama here!
