NewJeans' "Get Up" Becomes 2nd K-Pop Girl Group Album Ever To Spend 20 Weeks On Billboard 200
Nearly five months after its release, NewJeans’ “Get Up” is still going strong on the Billboard 200!
Earlier this year, NewJeans made history when their latest mini album “Get Up” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, making them the fastest female K-pop artist ever to enter the chart.
Months later, the EP is now spending its 20th consecutive week on the chart. For the week ending on December 16, “Get Up” stayed strong at No. 156, making it only the second K-pop girl group album in history (following BLACKPINK’s 2020 album “THE ALBUM”) to chart for 20 weeks.
NewJeans is also only the third K-pop artist ever to chart an album for 20 weeks, following BTS and BLACKPINK.
Aside from the Billboard 200, “Get Up” is still performing well on numerous other Billboard charts. In its 20th week, “Get Up” held steady at No. 4 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 26 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 37 on the Top Album Sales chart.
Meanwhile, several of NewJeans’ songs are still charting on Billboard’s global charts. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Super Shy” came in at No. 88, “Ditto” at No. 109, “Gods” at No. 131, “OMG” at No. 146, and “ETA” at No. 198. Over on the Global 200, “Super Shy” ranked No. 133, while “Ditto” re-entered the chart at No. 198.
Congratulations to NewJeans!
