BTS's Jimin Sweeps iTunes Charts Across The Globe With "Closer Than This"
BTS’s Jimin is topping iTunes charts all over the world with his brand-new single!
On December 22 at 2 p.m. KST, Jimin—who just enlisted in the military earlier this month—released the new fan song “Closer Than This.” Immediately upon its release, the single shot to the top of iTunes charts in numerous countries around the globe.
By 8 a.m. KST on December 23, “Closer Than This” had already hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 90 different regions, including the United States, Japan, Germany, France, and more.
“Closer Than This” also debuted at No. 1 on Bugs’ realtime chart at 3 p.m. KST on December 22. Meanwhile, Jimin’s past hits “Like Crazy” and “Set Me Free Pt.2”—the title track and pre-release single from his solo debut album “FACE”—both re-entered the chart at 4 p.m. KST, nine months after their initial release in March.
