BTS's Jimin Ties Record For Most No. 1s On Billboard's Digital Song Sales Chart By Korean Soloist As "Closer Than This" Debuts
BTS’s Jimin’s “Closer Than This” was the best-selling song of the week in the United States!
On January 3 local time, Billboard announced that Jimin’s new single “Closer Than This” had debuted at No. 1 on its Digital Song Sales chart, making it his fifth solo song to top the chart.
With this new entry, Jimin has now tied his bandmate Jungkook’s record as the Korean soloist with the most No. 1 songs on the chart. Before “Closer Than This,” Jimin previously topped the Digital Song Sales chart with his Ha Sung Woon collab “With You,” his pre-release single “Set Me Free Pt.2,” his official solo debut track “Like Crazy,” and his “FAST X” OST song “Angel Pt. 1.”
“Closer Than This” also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, No. 4 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100, No. 35 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, and No. 55 on the Global 200 this week.
