"Knight Flower" Cast Shares Key Points To Look Forward To Ahead Of Premiere
The cast of MBC’s upcoming drama “Knight Flower” has shared points viewers should look forward to!
Set in the Joseon era, “Knight Flower” is an action-comedy drama starring Honey Lee as Jo Yeo Hwa, a woman who has lived a quiet and modest life as a virtuous widow by day for 15 years. However, she is secretly leading a double life: at night, she valiantly sneaks out to help those in need.
Ahead of the premiere of “Knight Flower,” the drama’s cast members Honey Kee, Lee Jong Won, Kim Sang Joong, Lee Ki Woo, and Park Se Hyun revealed key points that viewers should look forward to.
Honey Lee, who plays the role of Jo Yeo Hwa, a mourning widow by day and a masked swordswoman by night, commented, “I think it would be interesting to pay attention to the differences between day and night while watching the drama. What’s really interesting is that the widow, who dresses in white mourning clothes during the day, and the masked swordswoman. who dresses in black clothes at night, are the same person.”
Describing her character, Honey Lee explained, “Jo Yeo Hwa is like a savior who appears when you need someone to save you from somewhere or punish an evil person on your behalf.”
Lee Jong Won, who plays military officer Park Soo Ho shared, “There are many interesting characters in ‘Knight Flower.’ The characters were portrayed with such dedication that they feel almost alive. Please look forward to it.”
He then revealed his confidence in the drama, saying, “There is perfect harmony between the acting, directing, and action scenes, so you will be able to watch the drama while enjoying that aspect.”
Kim Sang Joong, who plays Suk Ji Sung, the second state councillor and Jo Yeo Hwa’s father-in-law, shared, “The story unfolds with many twists and turns. Also, if you follow the flow of the drama well, you will discover that there are interesting facts hidden throughout the drama.”
He added, “This is the first MBC historical drama in 2024. Viewers will have fun starting the year with our drama.”
Describing “Knight Flower” as a roller coaster, Lee Ki Woo, who plays Park Yoon Hak, the King’s right-hand man, commented, “Although it is a historical drama, it has a variety of charms that will allow viewers to enjoy it like a modern drama.”
He continued, “It is also a lively and action-packed drama with humor like that of modern dramas. In particular, viewers should look forward to seeing the refreshing actions of Jo Yeo Hwa, a widow who breaks down barriers one by one, in an era where the differences in status and gender are pronounced.”
Park Se Hyun, who plays Jo Yeo Hwa’s trusty attendant and closest friend, stated, “It is a drama that has a diverse array of characters. Viewers will be able to witness how characters, who were previously overshadowed as a result of the norms and social hierarchy of that era, strive for their individual goals and form complex relationships in the process.”
Urging viewers to watch the drama, Park Se Hyun added, “For ‘Knight Flower’ to do well, it needs the affection of viewers. Please show a lot of interest.”
“Knight Flower” will premiere on January 12 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
