Former Sugar Member Ayumi Announces Pregnancy

Ayumi is expecting her first child!

On January 9, the former Sugar member—who tied the knot with her non-celebrity husband in 2022—personally announced the news of her pregnancy on Instagram.

In addition to sharing several photos, Ayumi posted the following message in Korean:

Everyone~ For my first Instagram post of the new year, I’m starting with some very special and happy news~

A precious new life has found its way to us, for which I am so grateful~

I’m due to give birth in May of this year.

Although I still can’t believe that I’m going to be a parent soon, my days are as full of happiness as my growing belly.

The baby’s pregnancy name is “Lucky Eggplant.” Because I had a conception dream in which I picked a delicious eggplant and really enjoyed eating it, hehe.

Thank you to everyone congratulating us on the news of Lucky Eggplant, and I wish you lots of good fortune for 2024. I hope that you will always be healthy and happy, with your days full of only reasons to smile.
