Lee Jae Wook Chases After His Goals With A Poker Face In "The Impossible Heir"
Lee Jae Wook will be making a big acting transformation for his next role in Disney+’s “The Impossible Heir”!
“The Impossible Heir” will tell the story of three characters who desire to climb to the top by trying to take the throne of Korea’s largest conglomerate. Lee Jae Wook will take on the role of the cold-blooded yet dignified Han Tae Oh, Lee Jun Young will portray Kang In Ha, a character that has both good and evil sides, and Hong Su Zu will play Na Hye Won.
Lee Jae Wook’s role as Han Tae Oh is a character with exceptional brains and cold rationality. Having been born the son of a murderer, Han Tae Oh runs away from the world and attempts to escape his difficult life by approaching Kang In Ha, the illegitimate son of Korea’s largest conglomerate Kang Oh Group, and together they aim to take down the throne of Korea’s largest conglomerate. With a great sense of ambition, Han Tae Oh strategically takes the lead with a poker face.
Regarding his role, Lee Jae Wook shared, “He’s a persistent character who has to chase a problem to the end and solve it once he decides on a goal. As a figure who is good at maintaining a poker face, he doesn’t show his claws when solving problems.” The actor added, “I put a lot of changes into acting to hide the expressive parts and showcase [the character’s] inner feelings thoroughly. Through ‘The Impossible Heir,’ I think I can show some thorough and calm as well as persistent sides of me.”
Director Min Yeon Hong further shared, “While watching Lee Jae Wook’s career, the way he portrayed diverse characters with depth left an impression. At the same time, I like that he is an actor who showcases his charms to the fullest. I believe if Lee Jae Wook acts as Han Tae Oh, who is always serious and maintains a poker face to not easily show his feelings, I think viewers can relate and feel his charm.”
“The Impossible Heir” will premiere on February 28. While waiting, check out a teaser here!
