Gong Yoo's Father Passes Away

On February 7, Gong Yoo’s agency Management SOOP shared, “Gong Yoo’s father passed away on February 5.”

His mortuary is located at the funeral hall of Asan Hospital in Seoul, and it was reported that Gong Yoo and his family are currently at the wake in sorrow. His funeral will be held on February 8.

Gong Yoo debuted through the drama “School 4” in 2001 and appeared in various dramas including “Coffee Prince,” “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” and “Squid Game” as well as the films “Train to Busan” and “Seo Bok.” It has been previously confirmed that the actor will return in Season 2 of “Squid Game,” which is scheduled to be released this year.
