Oh My Girl's Seunghee Confirmed To Star In Kim Tae Ri's Upcoming Drama
Oh My Girl’s Seunghee will be starring in tvN’s new drama “Jeong Nyeon” (romanized title)!
On February 19, Oh My Girl’s agency WM Entertainment shared, “Seunghee will take on the role of Cho Rok in the drama ‘Jeong Nyeon’ and take on the challenge of her second drama. Please show lots of interest.”
Based off a webtoon, “Jeong Nyeon” is set in the 1950s and tells the story of Yoon Jeong Nyeon (Kim Tae Ri), a young girl from Mokpo who has no money or education but is born with a talented singing voice. The historical drama follows the happenings that occur when Yoon Jeong Nyeon joins a women’s traditional theater company to achieve her dreams of becoming rich. The drama also stars Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, Ra Mi Ran, Moon So Ri, and Jung Eun Chae.
Seung Hee’s character Cho Rok is a research student who joined the women’s traditional theater company through an audition along with Jeong Nyeon. Cho Rok envies and bothers Jeong Nyeon, but she is a lovable character whose mind is easy to read and uncomplicated.
