“Chicken Nugget” is a brand new comedic mystery series about Choi Sun Man (Ryu Seung Ryong), who strives to bring back his daughter Min Ah (Kim Yoo Jung), who turned into a chicken nugget after entering a mysterious machine. Ahn Jae Hong stars as the intern Ko Baek Joong, who has a crush on Min Ah, and Jung Ho Yeon portrays Hong Cha, Korea’s best food columnist.

Ryu Seung Ryong, who plays the role of Choi Sun Man, a man who carefully protects the chicken nugget he suspects to be his daughter, shared, “Although my daughter turned into a chicken nugget, I immersed myself [into thinking] that the chicken nugget is my daughter in order to put in effort to not act fake.” He continued, “When doing comedic acting, I tend to pursue the unexpected and go beyond imagination and sterotypes, and I think that was incorporated well into this project.”

Ahn Jae Hong, who plays Ko Baek Joong, remarked about his character, “It was to the extent that I wondered if [Ko Baek Joong] was drawn with me in mind. Even our eyebrows look similar. It feels like fate.”

From his hairstyle to his outfit and fun movements, Ahn Jae Hong learned dance from choreographer Aiki and visited music director Park Sang Woo, who taught him singing and playing the guitar in ‘Melo Is My Nature.'”

Regarding their chemistry, Ryu Seung Ryong shared, “Even when we didn’t check every [detail] one by one beforehand during rehearsals, we moved like a single organism.” Ahn Jae Hong remarked, “It felt like I was participating in a table tennis tournament as a doubles team with the greatest senior actor.”

Furthermore, both actors showcased great trust in director Lee Byung Heon of “Extreme Job” and “Melo Is My Nature.” Ryu Seung Ryong shared, “Director Lee Byung Heon has sincerity within goofiness and goofiness within sincerity. He has the charm of making viewers relate through a deep lingering within laughter. Now, I think I can understand his feelings just by his gaze.”

Ahn Jae Hong further shared, “Even without exchanging many words, we get along well. I believe only director Lee Byung Heon is capable of creating this universe. I think he once again developed a completely new sense of humor.”
