SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, TXT, NewJeans, IVE, And NCT DREAM Make Top 15 Of IFPI's Global Artist Chart For 2023
K-pop made an exceptionally strong showing on the IFPI’s Global Artist Chart for 2023!
On February 21 local time, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)—a non-profit organization that represents the music recording industry worldwide—revealed its annual rankings of last year’s biggest artists.
The Global Recording Artist Chart ranks artists based on physical sales, downloads, and streaming over the course of the past year—and six of the top 15 spots for 2023 went to K-pop artists.
SEVENTEEN took No. 2 for 2023, bested only by Taylor Swift, in what marks their third consecutive year in the top 10 of the chart.
Stray Kids came in at at No. 3 for the year, followed by TXT at No. 7 and NewJeans at No. 8.
IVE made their chart debut at No. 12, while NCT DREAM ranked No. 15 for 2023.
