Voice Actor Lee Woo Ri Passes Away At Age Of 24
Lee Woo Ri has tragically passed away at the age of 24.
On March 15, voice actor Lee Dal Lae revealed on Instagram that Lee Woo Ri had passed away the day before.
Mourning her young colleague, Lee Dal Lae wrote, “[Lee Woo Ri’s] fellow voice actors and the others who knew him are all having a hard time hiding our sorrow at the sudden and tragic news of his death. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, I am sharing the final news of the departed with the fans who loved and cared for him.”
She went on to add, “To all the fans who love voice actor Lee Woo Ri and remember his acting, I ask that you pray together with us for my colleague Woo Ri to rest comfortably in eternal peace.”
Lee Woo Ri made his debut as a voice actor for Tooniverse in 2021, at the age of 21—making him the youngest male voice actor ever to be accepted by CJ ENM. During his three-year career, he voiced characters in famous animated shows such as “Case Closed” (“Great Detective Conan”), “Crayon Shin-Chan,” and “The Haunted House,” along with popular games like “Genshin Impact” and “Cookie Run: Kingdom.”
