AKMU Announces Fandom Name For First Time In Celebration Of Their 10th Anniversary

AKMU is celebrating their 10th anniversary in a special way with fans!

On March 21, YG Entertainment released posters celebrating AKMU’s 10th anniversary on their official social media accounts.

AKMU’s 10th Anniversary Project announces “AKKADEMY” as AKMU’s official fandom name for the first time in 10 years since their debut. A combination of the two words AKMU and ACADEMY, the new fandom name refers to an organization that is at the center of art.

The emblem in the vintage style poster reminds people of a school, stimulating viewers’ imagination with its design.

YG remarked, “We prepared a variety of projects to repay the hearts of fans who love AKMU and accompanied them on their musical journey over the past 10 years. We plan to further expand AKMU’s story with the artists, so please look forward to it.”

Purchasing membership for AKMU’s global official fan club “AKKADEMY” will be available from March 21 at 2 p.m. KST until April 4 through Weverse Shop.
