BABYMONSTER Breaks Record For Highest 1st-Week Sales Of Any Girl Group Debut Album In Hanteo History

YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER has made Hanteo history!

Last week, BABYMONSTER released their highly-anticipated first mini album “BABYMONS7ER” on April 1.

According to Hanteo Chart, “BABYMONS7ER” sold a total of 401,287 copies in the first week of its release (April 1 to 7), setting a new record for the highest first-week sales of any girl group debut album to date.

“BABYMONS7ER” has now also become the first girl group debut album in Hanteo history to sell over 400,000 copies in its first week.

The previous record for highest first-week sales of a girl group debut album belonged to ILLIT, who sold 380,056 copies of their first mini album “SUPER REAL ME” in the first week of its release this past March.
