"The Roundup: Punishment" Becomes Fastest Film Of 2024 To Surpass 6 Million Moviegoers
“The Roundup: Punishment” shows no signs of slowing down at the box office!
Ever since its release on April 24, the latest installment in Ma Dong Seok’s hit “The Outlaws” series has enjoyed an uninterrupted nine-day streak at No. 1 at the Korean box office.
On May 3, the Korean Film Council announced that as of the day before (May 2), “The Roundup: Punishment” had officially reached a total of 6,040,908 moviegoers—meaning that it took just nine days to reach the milestone.
“The Roundup: Punishment” is now the fastest Korean film of 2024 to surpass 6 million moviegoers, beating the smash hit “Exhuma” (which took 11 days to reach the milestone).
The fourth installment in Ma Dong Seok’s popular “The Outlaws” series, “The Roundup: Punishment” follows the action-packed adventures of legendary detective Ma Seok Do as he teams up with the Cyber Investigation Team to take down an illegal online gambling organization.
