Watch: Kim Myung Soo Treats Lee Yoo Young With Unwavering Care In Upcoming Drama “Dare To Love Me”
KBS2’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Dare to Love Me” has unveiled a new teaser video ahead of its premiere!
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Dare to Love Me” is a romantic comedy about the love story between Shin Yoon Bok, a 21st-century scholar from Seongsan village who believes deeply in Confucian values, and his art teacher Kim Hong Do, who has a reckless and straightforward personality.
Kim Myung Soo will play the role of Shin Yoon Bok, who is kind to others but strict with himself based on the Confucian virtues of benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, and wisdom. Lee Yoo Young stars as Kim Hong Do, who has no connections or power and is often disrespected in the fierce design industry, but still doesn’t give up on her dream of becoming a designer.
The newly released teaser portrays Kim Hong Do’s challenging life where she is always treated with disregard by others. In one scene, Kim Hong Do enters a convenience store with mascara and lipstick smeared all over her face, gulps down a beer, and wears a bitter smile. In contrast, Shin Yoon Bok is depicted engaging in sharp and elegant actions as he tries to teach a lesson to those who lack manners.
While their lives are vastly different, they encounter each other by chance, bringing a heart-fluttering romance to their former teacher-student relationship. As Kim Hong Do nearly falls backward, Shin Yoon Bok embraces her waist in his arm and gently asks, “How have you been?”
The teaser moves on to portray Shin Yoon Bok maintaining a distance from Hong Do as he deems it disrespectful to act otherwise, whereas Kim Hong Do feels all nervous due to his persistent yet restrained approach.
During a stroll in the rain together, Kim Hong Do steps out from under the umbrella, saying, “I like getting rained on.” Shin Yoon Bok then replies, “I like more,” without specifying the object in the sentence, making Hong Do’s heart pound even faster.
