IVE And "Squid Game 2" Star Kim Si Eun Make Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia List For 2024

Both IVE and Kim Si Eun were selected for Forbes’ “30 Under 30 Asia” list for 2022!

Every year, Forbes magazine selects 30 young Asian leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to celebrate within 10 different categories, one of which is Entertainment & Sports. This year, IVE and actress Kim Si Eun were two of the entertainers spotlighted by the magazine.

Forbes wrote about IVE, “The sextet is one of the hottest girl groups in the ultra-competitive K-pop scene. IVE made its debut in December 2021 with the song ‘ELEVEN,’ which has more than 220 million views on YouTube. In November 2022, the group won Best New Female Artist at the Mnet Asian Music Awards and five weeks later won Rookie Artist of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards. IVE’s most popular song to date is ‘After LIKE,’ released in August 2022, with 270 million YouTube views. Managed by Starship Entertainment, a subsidiary of Kakao Entertainment, IVE is the label’s top girl group. Last year, it became regional brand ambassador for Puma.”

Meanwhile, Forbes introduced Kim Si Eun by writing, “Kim Si Eun started in movies in 2016, but her breakthrough role came in last year’s drama ‘Next Sohee,’ co-starring Bae Doona. Kim’s emotional performance as Sohee earned her a slew of awards, including Best New Film Actress at South Korea’s Baeksang Arts Awards 2023. The Film was nominated for Best Picture at those awards and it was the closing film for the Cannes Film Festival in 2022. Kim is set to star in the second season of the hit Netflix series ‘Squid Game’ and is reportedly set to star in ‘Knock Off,’ a Disney+ series, opposite superstar Kim Soo Hyun.”
