Jang Nara Shines As The Ideal Divorce Lawyer In "Good Partner"

SBS’s upcoming drama “Good Partner” has released new stills featuring Jang Nara!

“Good Partner” is an office and law drama about star lawyer Cha Eun Kyung (Jang Nara), for whom divorce is her calling, and rookie lawyer Han Yu Ri (Nam Ji Hyun), who is new to divorce. The drama captures the unexpected separations in life plans, portraying the pragmatic and direct dilemmas that unfold when families break apart. It depicts the humorous struggles of divorce lawyers navigating the ruthless game of life balance, offering empathy and catharsis.

The drama will be penned by divorce specialist lawyer Choi Yu Na of the relatable Instagram cartoon “Marriage Red” (literal title), and the drama will be helmed by director Kim Ga Ram of “Nevertheless,” “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” and “Vampire Detective.”

Cha Eun Kyung, whose very presence is authoritative and media-savvy, is acknowledged as a “go-getter,” yet she is blunt and straightforward in her approach. Amidst unexpected life upheavals, she clashes with and joins forces with rookie lawyer Han Yu Ri, who stands in stark contrast to her, bringing about significant changes in her life.

Jang Nara’s transformation, starting from her gaze, is generating high expectations. Initially captured in her law firm office, Cha Eun Kyung’s professional demeanor captivates attention. Her sharp and focused gaze reflects her perfectionist nature in all endeavors. Watching over rookie lawyer Han Yu Ri’s trial, Cha Eun Kyung exudes a veteran’s presence with unwavering charisma. Her intriguing transformation into a program host adds another layer of interest. From lectures to television appearances, the star lawyer’s glamorous daily life hints at her expertise beyond her chic appeal and relaxed smile.

Jang Nara explained her reasons for choosing the project, stating, “The script was interesting, and I liked that the characters’ traits were clear. The fact that the writer is an actual divorce lawyer made the episodes feel more lively and intriguing.” She added, “If you pay close attention to how the lawyers handle each episode, it will be even more enjoyable.”

Jang Nara also described her character as a perfect lawyer, saying, “Cha Eun Kyung’s first impression was someone who wouldn’t bleed even if pricked. As the drama unfolds, you’ll see various sides of her, and she’s a character I find quite charming.”

“Good Partner” is set to premiere on July 12 at 10 p.m. KST.
