Jun So Min, Ji Seung Hyun, VIXX's Leo, And More Confirmed To Star In New Romantic Thriller Film
On June 25, Studio Santa Claus Entertainment confirmed that a romantic thriller film titled “Veranda” (working title) starring Jun So Min and Ji Seung Hyun began filming!
“Veranda” unfolds a story about secrets and truths projected in an apartment building.
Jun So Min portrays Jung Ha Yeon, who holds the secret of her husband’s death and faces threats from an unknown assailant. Ha Yeon suspects the person stalking her home is connected to her husband’s demise and decides to confront them herself. Jun So Min aims to claim the title of thriller queen, driven by her fierce determination to protect her son Ah Ram.
Ji Seung Hyun portrays Hyun Woo, who tragically loses his wife and child. Attention is focused on what kind of charm Ji Seung Hyun will bring to Hyun Woo, who begins to dream big dreams for Ha Yeon and new hope when Ha Yeon’s son Ah Ram follows him.
Ha Soo Ho portrays Woo Jae, Ha Yeon’s husband. Known for his impactful roles in Netflix’s “Bloodhounds” and Disney+’s “Han River Police,” Ha Soo Ho is poised to deliver a compelling performance in “Veranda,” revealing profound and somber truths about mortality.
Joining the cast, Jung Hee Tae takes on the role of Nam Kyung Jang, who starts probing Woo Jae’s accident with suspicion, while newcomer Jeon Yeong Chan portrays Kim Kyung Jang. Meanwhile, established in the musical scene following his debut with the boy group VIXX, Leo makes his screen debut in “Veranda.” He portrays a enigmatic character uncovering Ha Yeon’s secrets during an investigation of her home.
“Veranda,” directed by Jo Sung Won who won the Grand Bell Award for Best Art Direction for “Moss” and worked on set decoration for notable films such as “The Battleship Island,” “Svaha: The Sixth Finger,” “Hanbando” and “Thirst,” marks his directorial debut. Combining the director’s extensive experience with the appeal of the cast and crew in their inaugural major collaboration, filming for “Veranda” recently begun with a planned release in 2025.
