PLAVE Teams Up With HYBE Japan For Japanese Debut

The virtual group PLAVE is gearing up to make a name for themselves in Japan!

On July 9, PLAVE’s agency VLAST Entertainment announced, “We signed an agreement with HYBE Japan for our group PLAVE’s debut and activities in Japan. We expect to conduct high-quality activities in Japan through our collaboration with HYBE Japan, which has a deep understanding of the Japanese market.”

HYBE Japan will support PLAVE’s expansion and activities in Japan through this collaboration. This is the largest and most comprehensive contract for business rights in Japan among artists HYBE Japan has collaborated with outside HYBE Labels. It was concluded based on HYBE Japan’s high evaluation of PLAVE’s potential for success in Japan.

VLAST plans to actively promote PLAVE’s activities in Japan through close collaboration and communication with HYBE Japan.

PLAVE, a five-member virtual boy group consisting of Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho, and Hamin, has rapidly gained popularity in Korea and Asia since their debut in March 2023. They are one of the most attention-grabbing K-pop groups both domestically and internationally. Their second mini album “ASTERUM: 134-1” ranked first in K-pop sales in the first half of 2024 on Japan’s HMV&BOOKS, boosting their popularity and influence in Japan.

The initial sales of their second mini album “ASTERUM: 134-1,” released in March, exceeded 560,000 copies. They became the first virtual idols to win first place, beating prominent artists on domestic music broadcasts and winning two awards. Their solo concert last April attracted more than 70,000 fans during the pre-sale, proving their popularity and achieving unprecedented box office success.
