JTBC’s upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama “Romance in the House” has released its first teaser!

“Romance in the House” will depict the journey of individuals who were once estranged but strive to reunite as a family, recognizing the profound effort, introspection, and tears required. The drama is penned by Kim Young Yoon of “My Secret Romance” and directed by Kim Da Ye of “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty.”

The first teaser video begins with Byun Moo Jin (Ji Jin Hee) enthusiastically planning to open a dumpling restaurant. His wife Geum Ae Yeon (Kim Ji Soo) raises her eyebrows in doubt and frustration, as he fails every time he attempts a new business venture. Oblivious to his wife’s feelings and only dreaming of hitting the jackpot, Byun Moo Jin confidently declares, “I’m Byun Moo Jin.” Eventually, after growing fed up with Byun Moo Jin’s failures as a father, husband, and family provider, Geum Ae Yeon decides to cut ties with him, a decision echoed by their daughter Byun Mi Rae (Son Naeun).

For the next 11 years, Geum Ae Yeon and Byun Mi Rae become each other’s support, rebuilding their fractured family and thriving without Byun Moo Jin. However, their peaceful lives are threatened when Byun Moo Jin, whom they abandoned long ago, resurfaces as the wealthy new landlord of their villa. His unexpected return promises to disrupt their tranquility and raises the question of how he amassed his newfound fortune.

When Byun Moo Jin reappears in their lives with the aim of reclaiming his role as Geum Ae Yeon’s husband, he diligently presents himself to Geum Ae Yeon morning and evening, showcasing his charms, making heartfelt confessions, and using his wealth to lavish her with gifts of all kinds.

However, Byun Moo Jin’s biggest obstacle is his daughter. After building a stable life with her mother, Byun Mi Rae believed that nothing could disrupt it again. However, Moo Jin’s sudden return completely upends their family’s daily routine, revealing just how content and stable they’ve become without him.
