KARA's Park Gyuri Suffers Facial Fractures Ahead Of Comeback + Halts Activities To Undergo Surgery
KARA’s Park Gyuri has temporarily halted all activities due to a severe facial injury.
On July 13, Park Gyuri’s agency Big Boss Entertainment announced that she had recently suffered both a cheekbone fracture and an orbital fracture. The agency also revealed that Park Gyuri needed surgery for the injury, and based on the recommendation of her doctor, she has cancelled her entire schedule for the month of July to focus on her recovery.
Meanwhile, KARA is currently scheduled to make their first comeback in nearly two years on July 24, when they will release their new single album “I DO I DO.”

Hello, this is Big Boss Entertainment.
We are making an announcement regarding actress Park Gyuri. Recently, actress Park Gyuri suffered a cheekbone fracture and orbital fracture during her personal schedule, and she underwent a thorough examination after visiting the hospital.
Based on the results, the doctor advised that, considering the location of the injury, she needed to undergo surgery, and we were also informed that recovering from the surgery takes about four to five weeks.
After careful discussion between the actress and our agency, we decided to have her avoid strenuous activity during the treatment period and focus fully on her recovery.
Therefore, we are letting you know that [Park Gyuri] will not be carrying out her activities scheduled for the month of July.
Big Boss Entertainment will consider our actress’s health and safety our top priority, and we promise to do everything we can to help her make a speedy recovery.
