Im Se Mi To Reunite With Moon Ga Young In Upcoming Drama With Choi Hyun Wook And Kwak Si Yang
Im Se Mi and Kwak Si Yang have joined the cast of tvN’s upcoming drama “Black Salt Dragon” (also known as “He’s the Black Dragon”)!
On July 15, tvN announced that both Im Se Mi and Kwak Si Yang would be appearing in the new romance drama “Black Salt Dragon,” which is scheduled to air next year. Moon Ga Young and Choi Hyun Wook were recently confirmed for the leading roles.
Based on a popular webtoon, “Black Salt Dragon” will tell the love story of a man and woman who first meet via their online game characters during their school days, then meet again in real life as boss and employee 16 years later.
Notably, “Black Salt Dragon” will mark the reunion of Im Se Mi and Moon Ga Young, who played on-screen sisters in the hit drama “True Beauty.” The two actresses also previously appeared together in the 2011 drama “Heartstrings.”
In “Black Salt Dragon,” Im Se Mi will be playing the role of Seo Ha Jin, a free-spirited pub owner who goes wherever her heart leads her. After meeting Baek Soo Jung (Moon Ga Young) through an online game, the two women develop a real-life friendship that transcends their age difference.
Kwak Si Yang will play Kim Shin Won, the caring and attentive head of the design department at Yongsung Department Store, who is close friends with Ban Joo Yeon (Choi Hyun Wook). A rake who has always taken his many romantic relationships lightly, Kim Shin Won experiences his first true love after meeting Seo Ha Jin, who is intrigued by him.
“Black Salt Dragon” is currently slated to premiere in the first half of 2025.
