TXT, ATEEZ, And TWICE Are Only Korean Artists To Make U.S. List Of Top 10 Best-Selling Albums In 1st Half Of 2024
TXT, ATEEZ, and TWICE all made the United States’ midyear list of the best-selling albums of 2024!
American music data tracking firm Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), which supplies the data for the Billboard charts, has released its list of the best-selling albums in the first half of 2024. The tracking period for the first half of the year began on December 29, 2023 and ran through June 27, 2024.
TXT and ATEEZ were the only male artists to make the top 10, which was overwhelmingly dominated by Taylor Swift (the American singer swept five of the top 10 spots on the midyear list).
TXT’s “minisode 3: TOMORROW” is the United States’ top-selling album by a male artist or a group in 2024 thus far—and the No. 6 best-selling album overall, bested only by Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Beyoncé.
Despite having been released less than a month before the end of the tracking period, ATEEZ’s “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1” followed close behind at No. 7.
TWICE—the only girl group to make the midyear list—took No. 9 with their mini album “With YOU-th,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 earlier this year.
The top 10 best-selling albums in the United States in the first half of 2024 are as follows:
- Taylor Swift – “The Tortured Poets Department” (2,474,000)
- Billie Eilish – “Hit Me Hard and Soft” (306,000)
- Beyoncé – “Cowboy Carter” (257,000)
