Jun Hyun Moo, Lee Chan Won, Kang Daniel, And NMIXX's Haewon Confirmed As MCs Of "2024 Idol Star Athletics Championships"
MBC’s “Idol Star Athletics Championships” (ISAC) has unveiled this year’s MCs and event details!
On July 17, the production team of ISAC announced that Jun Hyun Moo, Lee Chan Won, Kang Daniel, and NMIXX’s Haewon will host the program as main MCs. Additionally, rapper DinDin and STAYC’s Sieun will join as supporting MCs inside the stadium.
MBC further disclosed that the upcoming program will showcase a variety of event categories: track-and-field, futsal, archery, and dance sports, with the new addition of breakingdance. This decision is particularly timely as Breaking is set to debut as an official sport at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After its launch as a Chuseok special in 2010, the “Idol Star Athletics Championships” typically aired twice a year—once during the Lunar New Year holiday in the winter and once during the Chuseok holiday in the fall. However, the program took a three-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic before finally returning for the 2022 Chuseok special.
Last month, MBC confirmed that ISAC will be returning for the first time in two years.
“Idol Star Athletics Championships” will start filming in August and is set to air during the Chuseok holidays. Stay tuned for more updates!
