Jung In Sun Transforms Into A Quirky Scientist In Upcoming Rom-Com "DNA Lover"

TV Chosun’s upcoming drama “DNA Lover” has unveiled new stills of Jung In Sun!

Helmed by Sung Chi Wook of “Tomorrow” and written by Jung Soo Mi of “Born Again,” “DNA Lover” is a romantic comedy that follows the story of Han So Jin (Jung In Sun), a genetic researcher who has numerous failed relationships, as she searches for her destined partner through genes. Choi Siwon takes on the role of Shim Yeon Woo, a highly talented and sensitive obstetrician who excels at social intelligence and always wins women’s hearts.

As a quirky yet talented genetic researcher, Han So Jin is fascinated by the idea that DNA holds the key to finding one’s perfect match, driven by her own turbulent romantic past.

Having showcased her versatility in dramas such as “Welcome to Waikiki,” “My Secret Terrius,” and “Psychopath Diary,” Jung In Sun promises a significant transformation with her unconventional short hippie hairstyle depicted in the new stills.

Jung In Sun commented, “I find the subject of DNA [in the drama] interesting. When I was young, blood type personality theory was popular, which is now replaced by the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) test. From constellation signs to fortune telling, people have constantly been drawn to understanding similarities and differences with other people. I was one of them, who was overly immersed in each theory that was trending at the time. Above all, I find the storyline of discovering oneself through DNA and even finding a compatible partner fascinating.”

The actress also expressed her affection toward her character, stating, “So Jin may have eccentric ideas and behaviors, but she has strong passion.” She added, “I was excited to portray such a passionate character living in a DNA-filled world.”
