'Inkigayo' To Take 3-Week Break Starting With 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer

SBS’s “Inkigayo” will not be airing for the next three weeks.

According to SBS, the music show will be taking a three-week break starting on July 21, when the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer is scheduled to take place at the INSPIRE Arena in Incheon.

“Due to coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and more, ‘Inkigayo’ will not air on July 21, July 28, or August 4,” stated the network. “We ask for viewers’ generous understanding.”

The SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer is a new midyear special that will wrap up the first half of 2024 with special performances by a star-studded lineup of artists. NCT’s Doyoung, IVE’s An Yu Jin, and TXT’s Yeonjun—all of whom are former “Inkigayo” MCs—will be hosting the event. An Yu Jin and Yeonjun also previously hosted the 2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon together at the end of last year.
