Ha Sung Woon's Agency Apologizes For 1st-Week Sales Data Error
Big Planet Made Entertainment has apologized for an error in the calculation of Ha Sung Woon’s first-week sales for his new mini album.
On July 27, Big Planet Made Entertainment released a statement confirming that some of the first-week sales data for Ha Sung Woon’s eighth mini album “Blessed” had been accidentally omitted.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello.
This is Big Planet Made Entertainment. We are making a statement regarding a data omission in the first-week sales of our artist Ha Sung Woon’s eighth mini album “Blessed.”
After checking, [we have learned that] in the process of recording the first-week sales for Ha Sung Woon’s eighth mini album, part of the sales were mistakenly recorded for the July 24 chart, which is after the end of the first-week sales period, and therefore omitted from the first-week sales.
Due to the fans pointing it out, we became aware that part of the first-week sales data for Ha Sung Woon’s eighth mini album was omitted, and together with the album retailers, we are currently in the process of finding out whether Hanteo Chart can revise [the first-week sales figure] to reflect the omitted amount.
Big Planet Made Entertainment deeply regrets the fact that this first-week sales data omission does not match the support that fans have been sending [to Ha Sung Woon].
Big Planet Made Entertainment will take full responsibility for this incident, and we will actively take care of even the littlest details so that all the businesses that work together with us can live up to fans’ expectations without any mistakes.
As it is our fault for not having been able to prevent our artist Ha Sung Woon and the fans from being hurt by this incident, we ask that you do not view any other companies negatively due to our [mistake].
Once again, we apologize to all the fans who have experienced discomfort due to this incident.
Thank you.
