Adapted from the best-selling German mystery novel “Snow White Must Die,” “Black Out” is a crime thriller drama that follows the story of a young man accused of murder in a mysterious case where no corpses were found. 11 years later, he embarks on a journey to uncover the truth of that fateful day. The drama stars Byun Yo Han, Go Joon, Go Bo Gyeol, Kim Bo Ra, and more.

Bae Jong Ok will play Ye Young Sil, a three-term National Assembly member from Mucheon City. Ye Young Sil is a nearly perfect politician with beauty, capability, and the ability to handle all the affairs of her district. She has long dreamt of becoming the first female governor of Gyeonggi Province, and her chance to achieve this dream is finally approaching.

Kwon Hae Hyo will play Hyun Goo Tak, the head of the Mucheon Police Station who works alongside Young Sil. Hyun Goo Tak has polite manners and excellent people skills, and he gets along well with the townspeople. When ex-convict Go Jung Woo (Byun Yo Han) returns to the village, Hyun Goo Tak tries to mediate between him and the people who despise him.

Jo Jae Yoon transforms into Shim Dong Min, a father whose life crumbled with the death of his only daughter. Shim Dong Min is an alcoholic who becomes violent whenever he drinks, and since his daughter’s death made his condition even worse, he drinks every day and relieves his stress by tormenting Go Jung Woo’s mother Jung Geum Hee.

Kim Mi Kyung will play Go Jung Woo’s mother Jung Geum Hee. She is a steadfast woman who stays in the village and endures the scorn and curses of the villagers as if atoning for her son’s crime. Kim Mi Kyung’s affectionate eyes will add depth to the portrayal of a mother torn between welcoming and rejecting her son, who has suddenly returned to the village after a long time.

Ahn Nae Sang plays Go Jung Woo’s father Go Chang Soo. Go Chang Soo, who believes family is the most important thing in life, is a patient father willing to do anything for his son Go Jung Woo. While diligently running a restaurant to prepare for Go Jung Woo’s return from prison, Go Chang Soo suddenly falls ill. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to reunite with his son.
