"Victory" Makes World Premiere At New York Asian Film Festival 2024 + Hyeri Wins Rising Star Award
The 23rd edition of the New York Asian Film Festival (hereafter NYAFF) wrapped up a blockbuster 17-day run!
Held from July 12 to 28, NYAFF 2024 featured screenings of over 90 films and stage appearances by 130 acclaimed filmmakers, international stars, and other notable guests.
Korean actors including Hyeri and Park Se Wan of “Victory,” Shim Eun Kyung of “The Killers,” and Lee Ju Seung of “The Guest” were present at the festival to greet film lovers in New York.
Cheerleading film “Victory” made its international premiere at NYAFF as the festival opener on July 12. Hyeri was honored the Screen International Rising Star Asia Award, and she also took the stage with Park Se Wan, Director Park Beom Su, and Producer Lee Anna for a Q&A with fans.
Other notable Korean films such as “Exhuma,” “12.12: The Day,” “The Roundup: Punishment” (part of “The Roundup” series), “Escape,” and more were also screened at the festival with rave responses from audiences.
