Kim Seon Ho, Cha Seung Won, And Kim Kang Woo Are Entangled In The Same Incident For Different Reasons In "The Tyrant"
Upcoming drama “The Tyrant” has shared new stills of Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, and Kim Kang Woo!
“The Tyrant” is a chase action drama that unfolds after the final sample from a project called the “Tyrant Program” disappears due to a delivery mishap. This sets off a chain of pursuits involving individuals with different motives, each competing to secure the sample. “The Tyrant” is director Park Hoon Jung’s first drama series and will star Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, and Kim Kang Woo, all of whom have previously collaborated with him on other projects.
Cha Seung Won, who previously starred in Park Hoon Jung’s film “Night in Paradise,” takes on the role of Im Sang, a former agent tasked with eliminating any obstacles to the “Tyrant Program.” Im Sang’s ruthless nature contrasts starkly with his neat appearance and polite demeanor. Regarding his portrayal of the character, Cha Seung Won shared, “I aimed to convey the extreme duality of Im Sang.”
Kim Seon Ho, who previously worked with director Park Hoon Jung on the film “The Childe,” takes on the role of Director Choi, an elite agent who struggles to protect the “Tyrant Program” until the end. On why he chose to star in “The Tyrant,” Kim Seon Ho remarked, “Unlike the roles I’ve played so far, this character is lonely and desolate, so I wanted to take on the challenge.”
Kim Kang Woo, who also starred in “The Childe,” plays the role of Paul, a secret agent from a foreign intelligence agency dispatched to steal the “Tyrant Program.” Paul will display a ruthless and merciless nature that adds suspense to the drama, and actor Kim Kang Woo shared that Paul has a cold personality and is much more brutal and meticulous than the character he played in “The Childe.”
“The Tyrant” is set to premiere on August 14.
