Hwang Jung Eum and Korean basketball player Kim Jong Gyu have parted ways.

On August 5, a media outlet reported that Hwang Jung Eum broke up with basketball player Kim Jong Gyu two weeks after publicly acknowledging their relationship.

In response to the report, Hwang Jung Eum’s agency Y1 Entertainment released the following statement:

Actress Hwang Jung Eum decided to remain as good acquaintances with someone she had recently developed mutual affection for and was cautiously getting to know.
