Song Geon Hee, Yang Se Chan, Lee Yi Kyung, And More Confirmed To Star In New Variety Show Exploring Countryside
A new travel variety show exploring South Korea’s rural countryside is on the way!
On August 5, ENA announced, “Yang Se Chan, Lee Eun Ji, Lee Yi Kyung, Song Geon Hee, and Jeong Dong Won have been selected as the MCs for the new show ‘City Z Goes to the Countryside’ (literal title). The show will premiere on September 8 at 8:30 p.m. KST.”
“City Z Goes to the Countryside” is a “hiptro” (hip and retro) variety show that follows celebrities beloved by Gen Z as they dive into the charms and challenges of rural life.
The show will feature not only the five MCs but also special guest appearances from urban Gen Z stars each week as they try to adapt to rural life while still maintaining their own version of “hip.”
The production team shared, “Prepare for a non-stop comedy feast as these city-born individuals navigate and grapple with rural culture for the first time. We hope this show becomes a new family favorite, bringing together viewers of all generations for Sunday evening entertainment.”
