Kim Young Dae Undergoes A Makeover To Become Shin Min Ah's Fake Husband In "No Gain No Love"
Kim Young Dae has shared his thoughts on his character in tvN’s upcoming drama “No Gain No Love”!
“No Gain No Love” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Son Hae Young (Shin Min Ah), a woman who fakes a marriage to avoid missing out on a promotion at work. Kim Young Dae will star as Kim Ji Wook, the man who agrees to become her fake husband.
A part-timer who works night shifts at a local convenience store, Kim Ji Wook is a kindhearted soul who can’t stop himself from helping when he sees someone in need. Although he initially hides his handsome looks under thick-framed glasses and a shaggy mop of hair, he undergoes a makeover and adopts a more clean-cut look in order to take on the role of Son Hae Young’s fake bridegroom.
When asked why he had decided to star in “No Gain No Love,” Kim Young Dae replied, “The drama captures various aspects of reality in different ways, which I found fun and interesting. The different characters wind up becoming entangled with one another, and I think the wide variety of incidents that unfold within those entanglements is one of our drama’s biggest charms.”
The actor went on to express his admiration for his character, noting, “Ji Wook is a rational person, but he’s someone who doesn’t want to inconvenience or bring any harm to others. Although he’s good at quickly conducting a cost-benefit analysis in a given situation, he’d rather take a loss than cause even the tiniest bit of harm to another person, which I found really admirable.”
The “No Gain No Love” production team remarked, “Actor Kim Young Dae, who took on a role that is entirely different from the other characters he’s played up until now, put on a very realistic performance. You can safely look forward to Kim Young Dae’s transformation and seeing a new side of the actor that you’ve never seen before. Please keep a close eye on Kim Young Dae’s unique take on the character of Kim Ji Wook.”
“No Gain No Love” will premiere on August 26 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
