Watch: Kim Kang Woo Makes A Direct Request For The Last Sample From Kim Seon Ho In New Preview For "The Tyrant"
With its premiere just around the corner, “The Tyrant” has offered a sneak peek into its captivating narrative with a new preview!
“The Tyrant” is a chase action drama that unfolds after the final sample from a project called the “Tyrant Program” disappears due to a delivery mishap. This sets off a chain of pursuits involving individuals with different motives, each competing to secure the sample.
Kim Seon Ho plays Director Choi, an unofficial mastermind behind the program, while Kim Kang Woo portrays Paul, a secret agent from the American intelligence agency.
The newly released teaser captures a conversation between Paul and Director Choi. The two characters are seen on a bench in an apparent reunion after more than a decade. Paul, wearing dark glasses and exuding a mysterious aura, casually chats with Director Choi before getting straight to the point: “You know why I came this time, right?” Director Choi, playing innocent, responds, “Well, do I have to know?” Paul then insists, “Stop pretending and just give me what you took. You can’t even take advantage of that in Korea.”
Despite Paul’s persistence in trying to obtain the sample, Director Choi doesn’t give in easily. Paul then quips about the situation, “If this doesn’t work out, I would get fired. You know how hard it is to find another job in this industry.” Director Choi replies, “I can only help you if I know what you’re talking about.”
Feeling that words alone won’t do the trick, Paul suggests they grab a meal together. Director Choi then proposes having kimchijjigae (kimchi stew), reminiscent of the dishes they enjoyed as students.
