Red Velvet Enters Billboard 200 And Artist 100 For 1st Time With "Cosmic"
Red Velvet has made their debut on the Billboard 200 and Artist 100!
On August 12 local time, Billboard officially announced that Red Velvet’s latest mini album “Cosmic” had entered its Top 200 Albums chart—its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States—following its U.S. release.
Although “Cosmic” was originally released in Korea and on digital platforms back in June, the physical version of the album was only released a month later in the United States, on August 2.
For the week ending on August 17, the mini album debuted at No. 145 on the Billboard 200, making it Red Velvet’s first album ever to enter the chart.
“Cosmic” also debuted at No. 6 on both Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and Top Current Album Sales chart—meaning it was the sixth best-selling album of the week in the United States—in addition to entering the World Albums chart at No. 4 and the Independent Albums chart at No. 20.
Meanwhile, Red Velvet debuted on Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 44, marking their first-ever appearance on the chart.
Congratulations to Red Velvet!
