Han Ji Hyun Talks About Her Character's Charms In Upcoming Drama "No Gain No Love"

tvN’s upcoming drama “No Gain No Love” has unveiled new stills of Han Ji Hyun!

“No Gain No Love” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Son Hae Young (Shin Min Ah), a woman who fakes a marriage to avoid missing out on a promotion at work. Kim Young Dae will star as Kim Ji Wook, the man who agrees to become her fake husband.

Han Ji Hyun will play the role of Nam Ja Yeon, a web novelist who lives with Son Hae Young and is closer to her than family. Although she is famous for her R-rated romance web novels, which she writes under the pen name Yeon Bo Ra, Nam Ja Yeon’s only experience with love is on paper: in real life, she has zero dating experience and has been single since birth.

The newly released stills offer a glimpse into Nam Ja Yeon’s endearing and multifaceted personality. In one image, she is dressed in a pastel yellow sweater while on a phone call, with her serious expression sparking curiosity about what the conversation is about. Another photo highlights her professional side as she studies documents with a determined and confident look.

Han Ji Hyun shared her thoughts on the character: “Ja Yeon is a really cute character that draws curiosity. I’m truly grateful and see this drama as a gift where I can showcase a range of acting to the viewers.”

She further described Ja Yeon as “shy yet bright and lively at home,” and added, “She doesn’t like to burden or cause any trouble to others and is a sweet character who wishes to support Hae Young.”

Regarding her chemistry with fellow actors, Han Ji Hyun said, “I can naturally immerse myself [in the scene] just by looking at Shin Min Ah’s warm gaze.” She also expressed her pleasure at collaborating again with Kim Young Dae and noted, “Other cast members, including Lee Sang Yi, were always friendly, making the filming process truly enjoyable.”

Finally, she offered a tease about the upcoming drama, remarking, “From the close friendship dynamics among Son Hae Young, Cha Hee Sung (Joo Min Kyung), and Ja Yeon to the heart-exploding romance between Son Hae Young and Kim Ji Wook and the tantalizing romance between Bok Gyu Hyun (Lee Sang Yi) and Nam Ja Yeon, I recommend keeping an eye on ‘the meaning of love’ while watching.”

“No Gain No Love” will premiere on August 26 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
