Coupang Play has released a new trailer and poster for its upcoming drama “Cinderella at 2AM”!

“Cinderella at 2AM” is a romantic comedy starring Shin Hyun Been as Ha Yun Seo, a woman who doesn’t believe in fairy tale endings, and Moon Sang Min as Seo Ju Won, the chaebol heir who tries to change her mind.

The newly released poster highlights the conflict between Ha Yun Seo and Seo Ju Won, who have been happily dating for a year and a half. When Ha Yun Seo unexpectedly learns that her boyfriend is the son of her company’s controlling shareholder, she comes to an agreement with his mother—who is also her company’s chairwoman—to break up with him in exchange for a large sum of money.

However, the smitten Seo Ju Won has no intention of letting her go without a fight: in the poster, he embraces Ha Yun Seo from behind while asking, “Honey, what are you thinking about?” Holding up a to-do list consisting solely of “break up” and “split up,” Ha Yun Seo replies, “I’m thinking about breaking up with you!”

The accompanying trailer begins with Ha Yun Seo attempting to break up with Seo Ju Won. Later, she drunkenly tells a friend, “Cinderella marrying her Prince Charming is something that only happens in fairy tales.” After Ha Yun Seo promises his mother that she’ll break up with him, Seo Ju Won makes a scene in public by sobbing, “How can you accept money and abandon me?”

Seo Ju Won then declares, “If you want to break up with me, I guess there’s nothing I can do. But it’s my right to try to hold onto you.” True to his word, Seo Ju Won does everything he can to sway Ha Yun Seo and convince her not to leave him, but Ha Yun Seo insists that she will break up with him within the next two months no matter what.

However, when Seo Ju Won sweetly tells her, “I missed you,” she briefly forgets all about her plans and affectionately replies, “Me too.” She then immediately realizes her mistake, but her resolve has already wavered. When someone asks why she broke up with Seo Ju Won when they’re both so in love with each other, she tearfully exclaims, “I don’t know.”

The trailer ends with Seo Ju Won saying, “We were happy, though.” Ha Yun Seo responds by asking, “How do I break up with you?”
