Former NU’EST member Kim Jonghyeon (JR) will be enlisting in the military on September 23.

On August 19, Kim Jonghyeon’s agency EVERMORE Entertainment released the following statement:

We would like to share an announcement about the enlistment of our artist, Kim Jonghyeon.

Kim Jonghyeon will fulfill his military duty by enlisting in the army on September 23, 2024.

Please understand there will be no official event on the day and the entrance ceremony will be kept private for on-site safety.

Thank you for always giving a lot of love to Kim Jonghyeon. We ask for your warm encouragement and a lot of support for Kim Jonghyeon, who will return healthily after diligently fulfilling his military service.

Former NU’EST member Kim Jonghyeon (JR) has announced his plans to enlist in the military.

On August 18, Kim Jonghyeon held a live broadcast in which he personally revealed to his fans that he would be enlisting next month.

That same day, his agency EVERMORE Entertainment officially confirmed, “It’s true that Kim Jonghyeon is enlisting in September.”

After undergoing basic training, Kim Jonghyeon will be fulfilling his mandatory military service as an active-duty soldier.

Kim Jonghyeon, who debuted as a member of NU’EST in 2012 and went on to receive lots of love during his appearance on Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2” in 2017, made his solo debut in 2022. The singer will be holding a solo fan meeting, “ANDING,” on August 31 in Seoul.
