Sol Kyung Gu, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Hee Ae, And Claudia Kim Bring Intensity To New Suspense Film "A Normal Family"
Upcoming film “A Normal Family” has released posters featuring its cast!
Directed by Hur Jin Ho, known for “The Last Princess,” the film “A Normal Family” is based on Herman Koch’s novel “The Dinner.” It follows a suspenseful story about four people whose lives fall apart after they watch CCTV footage of a crime involving their children.
The new posters showcase the intense facial expressions and atmosphere of actors Sol Kyung Gu, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Hee Ae, and Claudia Kim.
Sol Kyung Gu plays Jae Wan, a character who strives to stay composed. The poster highlights Jae Wan’s cold, rational nature and intense gaze, along with the phrase, “Are you just going to let this go even after killing someone?” This creates further intrigue about the events that will follow the CCTV footage.
Jang Dong Gun stars as Jae Kyu, a man determined to uphold his principles. After seeing CCTV footage of his son’s crime, Jae Kyu tries to remain committed to his beliefs. Jang Dong Gun’s subtle performance is expected to deepen the film’s emotional impact. Jae Kyu’s poster features the powerful phrase, “Why should you decide my son’s future?” which hints at his inner conflict and changes in emotions, heightening the film’s tension.
Kim Hee Ae stars as Yeon Kyung, a woman determined to protect her family. Her expressionless stare, along with the phrase, “What strange brothers. They take turns driving me crazy,” hints at a once-perfect family falling apart.
Claudia Kim, playing Ji Soo, who witnesses the truth, is featured with the line, “No one is in their right mind. Not the children, not the parents…” This foreshadows a story of disrupted peace and growing chaos within the family.
“A Normal Family” achieved a notable milestone by being invited to 18 major international film festivals. With its global acclaim, it will be interesting to see if it resonates with audiences.
