Jang Yoon Joo Returns As A Tenacious Detective In "Veteran" Sequel "I, The Executioner"
The upcoming sequel to “Veteran,” titled “I, the Executioner,” has released new stills of Jang Yoon Joo!
Directed by Ryoo Seung Wan, known for “The Battleship Island” and “Escape from Mogadishu,” “Veteran” is a crime action film following a veteran investigation team pursuing an arrogant third-generation chaebol. The sequel “I, the Executioner” continues the story of detective Seo Do Chul (Hwang Jung Min) and his crime investigation team, now joined by detective Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In).
Jang Yoon Joo reprises her role as Detective Bong, a tenacious investigator with a deep sense of justice.
In the newly released stills, her appearance and character remain strikingly similar to how she was nine years ago. One image captures her with a serious expression as she stares intently in a dimly lit office, illuminated only by the light from a desk lamp and her laptop.
In another shot, she looks perplexed amid a bustling market, seemingly on the hunt for clues during her investigation. In stark contrast, another image showcases her dramatic transformation. Dressed in a blue-green fur coat and wearing a well-groomed hairstyle, she confidently holds a Hwatu (Korean traditional card game) card, raising curiosity about how she ends up at a gambling site.
“I, the Executioner” is scheduled to hit theaters on September 13.
