ILLIT Announces New Official Fan Club Name

ILLIT’s fandom now has a new official name!

Back in April, ILLIT originally announced that the name of their official fan club would be LILLY. However, after some fans expressed concerns about the name, including similarities to other K-pop fandom and idol names, BELIFT LAB responded by stating that they would change the name.

On September 1, BELIFT LAB announced that the new name of ILLIT’s official fan club will be “GLLIT” (pronounced “glit,” as in the English word “glitter”).

According to the agency, “GLLIT” was “inspired by the word ‘glitter,’ which means to sparkle and shine. It means in ILLIT’s eyes, the fans shine the brightest and they also make ILLIT sparkle.”

Hello.
This is BELIFT LAB.

We would like to thank all the fans who have been waiting for the announcement of ILLIT’s official fan club name.
After reviewing the many suggestions submitted by fans and discussing them thoroughly with the members of ILLIT, we have decided on a fan club name.

GLLIT (Pronounced “Glit”)
Inspired by the word “glitter,” which means to sparkle and shine. It means in ILLIT’s eyes, the fans shine the brightest and they also make ILLIT sparkle.

Additionally, we would like to inform you that the ILLIT GLOBAL OFFICIAL FANCLUB GLLIT MEMBERSHIP (“GLLIT Membership”) will open on September 5, 2024.

We ask for your enthusiastic support of the GLLIT Membership, which will provide a variety of experiences to GLLIT Members in the future.

Please look forward to the many glittering moments that ILLIT and GLLIT will create as they shine together in the most sparkling and beautiful way.
