Im Siwan, Park Gyu Young, And Jo Woo Jin Confirmed To Star In 'Kill Boksoon' Spin-off Film 'Mantis'

Netflix has unveiled the main cast lineup for its “Kill Boksoon” spin-off film!

On September 2, Netflix confirmed the production of “Mantis,” a spin-off film of “Kill Boksoon,” along with its main cast lineup including Im Siwan, Park Gyu Young, and Jo Woo Jin.

“Mantis” (working title) is an action film that centers on Mantis, a top-tier assassin who comes back to a chaotic and disordered hitman industry after his vacation. As he reenters this anarchic environment, Mantis encounters Jae Yi, his fellow trainee and rival, and Dok Go, a retired legendary killer, and discovers that they are all competing for the No. 1 spot among the killers.

Im Siwan takes on the role of Han Ul, an ace assassin known as Mantis working for MK Ent. Han Ul is the character was previously mentioned by Cha Min Kyu (Sol Kyung Gu), the head of MK Ent., in “Kill Boksoon,” where he told Gil Bok Soon that Mantis was on vacation. Upon returning from vacation, Mantis decides to leave MK Ent., which has lost its leader Cha Min Kyu, and seeks new opportunities with other colleagues.

Park Gyu Young plays Mantis’s long-time friend Jae Yi, a highly skilled individual who was expelled from MK Ent. after falling out of favor with her superiors. Jae Yi harbors complex feelings toward Mantis, who has exceptional abilities.

Jo Woo Jin stars as Dok Go, a retired legendary killer. As one of the founding members of MK Ent. and Mantis’s mentor, Dok Go has long since retired from active duty. However, following Cha Min Kyu’s death, he aims to take over the company’s leadership and re-recruit Mantis.
