DAY6 Hits No. 1 On Melon Top 100 For 1st Time With "Melt Down" + Tops iTunes Charts All Over The World
DAY6 has achieved an exciting career first with their new title track!
On September 2 at 6 p.m. KST, DAY6 made their highly-anticipated comeback with their new mini album “Band Aid” and its soaring title track “Melt Down.”
Shortly after its release, “Melt Down” shot to the top of numerous domestic music charts such as Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Vibe. At 7 p.m. KST on September 2, the song entered Melon’s Top 100 at No. 5—marking DAY6’s highest debut on the chart to date—before rising to No. 1 at 9 p.m.
Notably, “Melt Down” is now the first song of DAY6’s nine-year career to hit No. 1 on Melon’s Top 100.
Meanwhile, DAY6’s previous title track “Welcome to the Show” reached a new peak of No. 3 on Melon’s Top 100 at midnight KST on September 3. By 8 a.m., DAY6 was charting an impressive total of 12 songs on the Top 100, with four songs—“Melt Down,” “Welcome to the Show,” “Time of Our Life,” and “HAPPY”—in the top 10.
By 8 a.m. KST, “Band Aid” had also hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least nine different regions across the globe, including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
