Kim So Yeon, Yeon Woo Jin, Kim Sun Young, And More Gear Up For "A Virtuous Business" At Script Reading

Upcoming drama “A Virtuous Business” has shared photos from its script reading!

A remake of the British television series “Brief Encounters,” “A Virtuous Business” will tell the story of the independence, growth, and friendship of four women who delve into door-to-door sales of adult products in a rural village back in 1992, when it was still taboo to talk about sex.

Director Jo Woong and writer Choi Bo Rim were present at the script reading along with cast members Kim So Yeon, Yeon Woo Jin, Kim Sung Ryung, Kim Sun Young, Lee Se Hee, Kim Won Hae, Choi Jae Rim, Im Chul Soo, Kang Ae Sim, Seo Hyun Chul, Jung Sun Won, Kim Jung Jin, Park Ok Chul, Park Ji Ah, Kim Sun Mi, Joo In Young, Hong Ji Hee, Sim Wan Jun, and Jeon Soo Ji.

Kim So Yeon takes on the role of Han Jung Sook, a virtuous housewife, perfectly embodying her character’s reserved nature and stepping away from her usual strong roles. As Jung Sook struggles to make ends meet, covering both rent and her son’s education costs, she embarks on an unexpected journey as a door-to-door saleswoman for adult products, marking a pivotal shift in her character’s life.

Yeon Woo Jin portrays Kim Do Hyun, a detective with a 90s American-style soft charisma. His character’s mysterious reassignment from the prestigious Gangnam Police Station to the remote Geumje precinct is slowly revealed through intriguing hints, keeping viewers hooked with each new clue.

Kim Sung Ryung plays the elegant and intelligent Oh Geum Hee, while Kim Sun Young plays Seo Young Bok, a mother of many children who shares a great relationship with her husband. Geum Hee, who embarks on a dynamic new phase of life with her husband after joining the sales team, and Young Bok, who finds humor in her family’s cramped living conditions, are set to bring both heart and laughter to the screen.

Lee Se Hee portrays Lee Joo Ri, a single mother and the show’s “it girl.” With her vibrant and energetic portrayal, she stands out among the veteran cast, solidifying her place in the lineup.
