'Veteran' Sequel 'I, The Executioner' Draws Over 3 Million Moviegoers In Just 5 Days

Just two days after crossing the 2 million viewer mark, “I, the Executioner” (also known as “Veteran 2”) has now officially surpassed 3 million moviegoers!

According to the Korean Film Council, as of September 17, the highly anticipated sequel to the hit 2015 film “Veteran” reached a total of 3,151,465 moviegoers.

Notably, “I, the Executioner” reached this milestone in just five days since its September 13 release, surpassing the pace of “Exhuma” (which took seven days) and “12.12: The Day” (ten days), both of which went on to reach 10 million viewers. The sequel now shares the same record as “The Roundup,” which also ended up hitting 10 million viewers.

To celebrate the film’s latest achievement, stars Hwang Jung Min, Jung Hae In, Jang Yoon Joo, Ahn Bo Hyun, and Shin Seung Hwan, along with director Ryoo Seung Wan, shared celebratory photos and a video expressing their heartfelt gratitude to audiences for their incredible support.
