Yeon Woo Jin Finds Attraction To Progressive Kim So Yeon In A Conservative Village In "A Virtuous Business" Poster
JTBC’s upcoming drama “A Virtuous Business” has unveiled a new poster!
A remake of the British television series “Brief Encounters,” “A Virtuous Business” will tell the story of the independence, growth, and friendship of four women who delve into door-to-door sales of adult products in a rural village back in 1992, when it was still taboo to talk about sex.
The newly released poster features Jung Sook (Kim So Yeon) and Do Hyun (Yeon Woo Jin), whose faces appear puzzled. An unusual array of adult toys rains down around them, along with provocative lingerie swirling in the air. These items are meant to awaken the hidden desires of the residents of Geumje, a rural village in 1992. Perhaps that’s why the eye-catching tagline, “The potential of desire explodes!” takes center stage. It also raises questions about how the story of Jung Sook and Do Hyun will unfold as they navigate these concealed desires.
Do Hyun, a stylish city man with a fresh and cool demeanor, arrives in Geumje. Having grown up in the United States, he finds it hard to grasp the warm, communal spirit of rural life and dislikes crossing personal boundaries. At the Geumje Police Station, he sticks to his routine of leaving work on time and avoiding after-work gatherings. Despite this, he feels an unexpected attraction to Jung Sook during his time in the village.
The production team commented, “This poster has elements that reveal new meanings the more you examine it. The expressions of Jung Sook and Do Hyun tell many stories about their true characters and their questionable relationship. Just like how the four ‘sisters’ explore hidden desires, various narratives will also unfold between Jung Sook and Do Hyun. We hope you look forward to it.”
“A Virtuous Business” will premiere on October 12 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
